Canadian fashion and lifestyle brand Frank and Oak expands its footprint in Asia with the opening of its first Experience Store in Shanghai, China on 1st December.

Located at Tai Koo Li mall in downtown Shanghai, the new Frank and Oak Experience Store was designed by Montreal-born Sacha Silva, who has been pioneering sustainable design and construction in China for more than 20 years.

Setting a new sustainability benchmark for retail stores in China, the store was designed for both disassembly and re-use. 62 percent of materials used in the shop is biodegradable or recyclable.

The new store showcases the brand’s new collection “Traced by VeChain” featuring winter products made with sustainable fabrics and processes. These include their yak sweaters and accessories collection that uses yarns and processes traceable by VeChain’s blockchain technology to easily capture supply chain data and manage proof of production.

Certified as a B Corporation since 2019, Frank And Oak meets the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability and is legally required to consider the impact of their decisions on their workers, customers, suppliers, community, and the environment. The integration with blockchain further enhances its brand claim of high standards. With immutable data stored on VeChainThor, Frank and Oak broadcasts its intention to ensure durability, functionality and style without compromising the planet.
