Arket to open its first physical store in China this autumn

H&M-owned lifestyle brand Arket is to launch its first brick-and-mortar outlet in China this autumn.
Located in the country’s capital Beijing, the flagship store will offer an assortment of fashion, food, scents, beauty and functional home items. The Arket Beijing store will also house a cafe, which serves a vegetarian menu featuring seasonal ingredients and traditional Nordic flavours.

The launch follows the opening of Arket’s online store on Tmall last August as well as a WeChat Mini Program shop earlier this year.
“The new store gives us an opportunity to welcome people into our world and invite them to experience the rich diversity of our collections,” said Pernilla Wohlfahrt, MD at Arket.

The opening of its first physical store in China also helps Arket one step closer to its Asia expansion plan. Last year, the brand revealed plans to open in Seoul this year.
Launched in 2017, Arket operates more than 20 outlets across European cities, including Amsterdam, London and Berlin.
